THE JOURNEY.

TV & Film and celebrity stylist, Contressa Oliver, a published licensed master cosmetologist, barber, and instructor in the state of Georgia, a serial entrepreneur and a mogul in the beauty industry.  While working for companies such as the very popular Regis Corporation, Contressa has earned a reputation in the beauty industry. As an educator for the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show, the Georgia Department of Education, and the Technical System of Georgia, Contressa is able to showcase her skills while continuously spreading her knowledge to cosmetologists and instructors worldwide. In 2022, she founded Revilo: The Beauty Brand which, a platform that bridges the gap between beauty and wellness.  With this platform, she shares helpful articles and tips to men and women to spread awareness on ways to increase inward health which leads to longer outward beauty.  As a proud member of the Professional Beauty Association and with her many years of expertise, high quality products, and unmatchable professionalism, Contressa is well on her way to taking her brand to the top!

"I started styling hair out of frustration, not knowing that it would become something that I would continue to do for the rest of my life."  It all began with a trip to a local hair salon when Contressa was 16 years old.  "I remember turning to the mirror and being very disappointed with my hair style."  To afraid to say anything, Contressa decided to attempt the hair style herself in hopes that it would turn out great.  Well it did, and at that moment, things would change forever. Contressa began styling hair after school as a hobby and before she knew it, it evolved into a part time job.   By her senior year, she was conducting client consultations and booking students at her locker.  "I must admit that I wasn't a fan of hair styling at first but It was something that I could do well.

THE INSPIRATION.

While attending Albany State University, Contressa would style hair in the dorms while pursing a degree in marketing.  she was later invited to a family reunion given by her  paternal family who she didn't know very well.  Contressa was reluctant at first but later decided to attend.   "Everyone there were either a master cosmetologist or a master barber including my great aunts and uncles. I was completely blown away!  At that moment, I realized my purpose, and that I was standing in the way of my own destiny."  Immediately after graduation, Contressa enrolled at her local technical college and began her career in cosmetology.

THE PASSION.

Contressa teaches for the Georgia Department of Education and for the Technical College System of Georgia.   "As a high school educator, teaching the cosmetology pathway is a great way for students to not only get a jump start on earning college credits but also a great opportunity for students to gain knowledge and hands-on experience. Students graduate from high school with a certificate(s), diploma, and/or an associate’s degree that allows them to go straight into their career field. Teaching post-secondary education allows me to prep students for their state board licensure exams and teach them the rules and regulations of their state. Building their confidence, pushing them to their highest potential, and helping them accomplish their goals are my number one priority.  For the past two years, I’ve served as a judge and advisor for Georgia’s SkillsUSA Cosmetology. By having experience in both areas, I can properly train students for regional, state, and national competitions."  In 2020, Contressa completed her barbering certification.

"I created Noble Glam Hair Company with one goal in mind:  to give women the quality of hair that they deserve by providing a high-quality, smart, and reliable online store. My passion for excellence has driven me from the beginning, and continues to drive me into the future. I know that every product counts, and strive to make the entire shopping experience as rewarding as possible."
